Job Title: Physician Liaison - Westchester

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Salary Range: $52,000-$92,000 including salary and earned incentive bonus pay

Summary:

We are looking for a Physician Liaison that treats patients, staff, physicians, and the general public in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner. The Physician Liaison is responsible for all sales activities from lead generation (new referring physician database development, networking events, cold calls, etc.) Develops and implements outbound sales initiatives that are aligned with the Marketing Plan objectives and goals. Effectively communicates and records all meetings and relationships and keeps ERMI partners abreast of physician satisfaction and potential concerns. All ERMI employees are required to treat patients, staff, physicians, and the public in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner. Incorporates the Mission and Vision of East River Medical Imaging, PC, into practice. Adequate schedule flexibility is required, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the generation of new diagnostic imaging business from new referring physicians and increased referrals from existing referring physicians.

  • Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas diagnostic imaging services of ERMI and how it relates to different medical specialties.

  • Develop annual Sales Plan in accordance with the business objectives and goals and align with the approved Marketing Plan for greatest effectiveness. Set monthly and quarterly goals based upon procedure/modality marketing initiative.

  • Understand the competitive marketplace and potential or actualized sales initiatives from direct and indirect competition.

  • Educate partners on sales strategies and tactics and invite them to specific sales meetings when appropriate.

  • Assists in the initial brainstorm and implementation of company marketing plans as needed.

  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities with the use of SalesForce.com database. Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

  • Analyze business growth or decline on regular basis (general report on monthly basis, full analysis quarterly) to target referring physicians who may need extra support and attention.

  • Assist the Manager with the creation and upkeep of internal documentation, manuals, policies, sales/marketing initiatives and ongoing staff training of this information.

  • Maintain contact with all referring physicians in the market area to ensure high levels of satisfaction.

  • Adhere to the business and marketing strategies and priorities as designated Road Map.

  • Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees. Exemplify positive, ‘can-do’ attitude which is reflective of ERMI’s operating philosophy.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent in a related area and twelve or more months radiology operations/healthcare experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office word processing software.
